NETme Organizational information
Mission Statement:
"Enhancing Community Awareness and Access to Complementary Care".
Statement of Purpose:
1. Network and advocate for awareness and access to complementary care for the larger community.
2. Educate ourselves and support one another regarding complementary care practices.
(We added what is in RED and switched the position of the 2 statements above.)
How we accomplish the above:
Meet 6 times/year....dates TBD by steering committee, currently second TUESDAY in Oct. Nov. Feb, March, April, May….5-6:30pm, Details listed @: http://NetmeGatherings.yolasite.com
Members post their profiles on NETme website, HYPERLINK "http://www.netme.us" www.netme.us
Members invite other complementary care practitioners or interested people to attend as guests.
Occasional Guest Presenters per steering committee.
Distribute minutes/announcements to members, associate members and affiliates
Levels of Membership:
Member - attends at least 3 of 6 meetings/year, RSVPs intention to attend or not. Privileges: voting rights, website presence, invites other Complementary Care practitioners or interested people to our gatherings. Receives minutes/announcements.
Associate Member - attends less than 3 times/year, RSVPs intention to attend or not. Privileges: attends gatherings as able. Receives minutes/announcements.
Affiliate - have expressed an interest in the group, however can not attend gatherings. Privileges: receives minutes/announcements.

Steering Committee
Membership: members attending Oct 5, 2009 NETme planning meeting: Lynn Schwarz, Cheryl Daggett, Harry Vayo, Maha'al Ajallahb, Elizabeth Barron, Gene Maxim, Laura Bridgman, Sue McMorrow.
Responsibilities: Sets the schedule for the meetings. Meets at least annually. Reviews organizational matters annually.
2. Tri-Conveners

Responsibilities:
-- formulate agenda and decide on location for meetings
-- facilitate meetings
-- keep and disseminate minutes of meetings
-- maintain up to date email lists
-- send out announcements to members, associate members and affiliates
Structure of Regular Meetings (11/2 hours):
Gather 15 min. prior to business meeting for informal networking if so desired.
Networking introductions - members have an opportunity to introduce themselves
and to make announcements
